Where Can I Recycle?
INDOOR RECYCLING STATIONS
Public areas inside campus buildings are outfitted with recycling stations that collect three categories of waste: paper, cans & bottles, and trash. The university has standardized the signs at these stations.
The bins carrying these signs come in many forms, but the university is converting to a few standard bin styles shown below. The current campus design standard for public areas is a cabinet that provides the users with cues such as color, shapes, restrictive openings, and standardized words and symbols. Another common set used in some space-limited locations is three plastic bins that share features with the campus standard cabinets. The plastic bin sets are also common in shared workspaces and break rooms for staff access.

OUTDOOR RECYCLING STATIONS
There are ca. 200 outdoor recycling stations across campus. Outdoor recycling stations collect two types of materials: Cans & Bottles and Trash. Due to rain, paper cannot be collected at these stations.
